Global wind developer Vestas Wind Systems A/S had a great week earlier this month, logging four new orders for a combined 447 megawatts of capacity between March 31 and April 4.
The haul includes 200 MW for an unidentified wind farm in the United States, 172 MW for a site in northeastern Brazil, 48 MW for a project in China, and 27 MW for a wind farm in northern Spain.
The order for 24 two-megawatt turbines from Datang Renewables in China “is a testament to the long-term performance of Vestas’ products as well as our ability to evolve with our customers and continuously offer the best possible solutions while lowering the cost of energy,” said Chris Beaufait, President of Vestas Asia Pacific and China.
