…except that the trumped-up fears about fentanyl and supposedly “bad” immigrants are just a pretext for the new occupant of the White House. If he really wants to have a conversation about a dangerous border, I hope Canadian negotiators (apart from the one provincial premier who is refusing to join the united front) are asking what he plans to do about the flood of handguns and other weapons crossing the border into Canada!

How did we get to talking about turning off oil and finding other markets?
So far, no tariffs. Why can’t our leaders in Canada address Trumps concerns about the border instead of threatening retaliatory tariffs? Are they really this dumb? Are they really this dumb about Trump? We have had Trump in the political news for 10 years, if you don’t know what he is like by now then move on and let someone who is smarter take your spot!

Oil and gas represents $120+ billion contribution to Canada’s GDP. what will fill that gaping hole and the hundreds of thousands of jobs that depend on the energy industry directly, and tens of thousands more indirect jobs if oil and gas suddenly disappears?

Trudeau’s “just transition” was a lie, and the country can’t run on unicorn farts and mythical EV battery plants which are unlikely to ever produce a single battery.

Time to get a grip on reality. The only hope Canada can have for influencing the course of climate change is to export as much of our ethically produced energy products as possible in the hope that they displace coal. The sooner the masses figure this out, the better off we will all be.

Future generations may have some use for fossil fuels so selling them all in the next decade or more, (fossil fuels are a finite resource, already our country (and in the US too) lands are dotted with empty orphan oil wells!!! Let’s transition now so Trump will not think he can annex Canada to exploit all our natural resources.
