Climate change is now abrupt, exponential, and irreversible. People, and particularly politicians, seem absolutely clueless and are leading us to a path of certain ruin by 2030…maybe sooner. Only if the people of this world stand up and Unite and fight for our lives and for all Life on Earth, will we even have a remote chance of survival. Wet bulb conditions in which no human can survive are now manifesting at an alarming rate all around the world.

Very nice catch, Douglas, thank you! We checked back with our original source, and the winds are westerly. We’re making the correction now, and I gather they’ll be doing the same with their original release.

Sometimes it takes a village…I’m glad you’re a part of ours.

Two adjacent passages from the article “CO2 Skyrockets, Big Emitters ‘May Retain or Expand’ Fossil Fuels, Studies Show” read as follows:

“…Westerly winds have strengthened during past periods of climate change, which leads to a release of carbon dioxide from the Southern Ocean. The researchers say this may happen again as the climate warms and could reduce the Southern Ocean’s capacity to absorb human-generated carbon dioxide.

‘We rely on the Southern Ocean to take up part of the carbon dioxide we emit, but rapidly increasing southerly winds weaken its ability to do so,’ Wendt said.”

Westerly or southerly: Which is it?
