Remove $$$ from the head of the table to being at the table. Always require innovation & a lot of community collaboration & putting in place a win win win situation. Is it easy no, As like anything in life it only take one closed one to change to limit the benefits for the many, too a privileged few. That think like Putin or even Trump vision. Of now the world should work. Unfortunately, the best most sustainable vision always require innovation & community collaboration & time to out manoeuvre those that fear change or put. $$ & self interest before the only thing . That is assured. At sometime the young well out think. Those trying to live in the passed.

1. On Oct 15, 2024, PetroChina decided to offload its commitments to the TMX pipeline, https://www.argusmedia.com/en/news-and-insights/latest-market-news/2618361-petrochina-offloads-tmx-crude-pipeline-commitment

2. On Nov 25 Trump first announces a possibility that he may impose a 25% tariff on Canadian goods.

Add to that the fact that, as of Oct 29, 2024, most of the TMX oil is being shipped to refineries on the US west coast. https://www.reuters.com/markets/commodities/us-west-coast-refiners-boost-imports-light-canadian-crude-2024-10-29/
In any case, so far the TMX is not living up to its expectations to entice buyers other than the US. There is no sign that that has changed since Freeland’s Dec 13 decision.
